Our parks should be places where families can focus on making memories—not worrying about safety.
The Family Safety Zones Ordinance designates Sheffield Lake's parks, playgrounds, beaches, trails, community recreation facilities, and City-sponsored family events as protected Family Safety Zones. It establishes clear local rules governing access to these family-oriented public spaces by certain registered Tier II and Tier III sex offenders while providing law enforcement with consistent enforcement procedures and public notice standards.
This legislation is about preserving the family-friendly character of our parks, giving parents greater peace of mind, and supporting our police officers with clear, objective rules designed to protect children and vulnerable persons.
Every child deserves a safe place to play. Every family deserves to enjoy our parks with confidence. I hope you'll support the Family Safety Zones Ordinance.

The website www.SheffieldLake.community is both a work of irony and a platform of ideas.
It playfully satirizes the hypersensitivities of those who zealously defend Mayor Rocky Radeff’s policies, while earnestly offering real-world proposals for improving life in Sheffield Lake.
This site serves two purposes:
To highlight, through gentle parody, the contradictions and overreactions that too often dominate local discourse, and
To present serious, forward-looking solutions for residents to evaluate and discuss.
While its tone occasionally employs humor and irony, the underlying intent is civic — to inform, challenge, and inspire thoughtful conversation about the future of our city.
